Troubleshoot the problem in order to find and repair only the fault that is present. Start motorcycle and let sit and idle. 2. Grab one of the coolant hoses and monitor its temperature. 3. When it starts to get hot, it should also get harder to squeeze. 4. On the 1500, the service manul says a special tool is need to pull the spark plug tubes, but you can fashion a tool out of the rear axle nut and unscrew the tube. I'd bet the 800 is similar.
